Foundation For Queer Arts (FFQA.ORG)

FFQA opening the door wide open for all LGBTQ Artists; 2 Dimensional artists/painters, 3 Dimensional artists/sculptures, Theatrical Artists, Performance Artist, Chefs, Spoken Word/Poets, Interior Designers, Fashion Designers, Architects, and other artists. 

FFQA ’s mission is to create venues, events and resources that give equal access for presenting, selling, creating, teaching art within the broader community by LGBTQ artists. Creating spaces for LGBTQ Artists to share their stories and culture through their Arts. 

FFQA believes that all LGBTQ people have the right to celebrate and engage in meaningful and relevant arts and cultural experiences. Each member of the community should experience arts which reflect and nourish their identity and self-esteem.  FFQA is committed to ensuring racial and cultural equity in its outreach, funding, leadership, resource allocation, partnerships, and programs.  FFQA believes that equity moves past inclusion and representation; accepting that power has created uneven starting points for some communities and individuals.  FFQA defines Cultural Equity as the inclusion and fair representation of multiple diverse populations in outreach and in the allocation of funding, resources (e.g., facilities and fiscal), and programs, providing equitable and fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all LGBTQ people, while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of the LGBTQ Community. FFQA defines Access as giving all LGBTQ individuals and organizations just pathways to appreciate and be exposed to the arts as well as attain information, financial resources and opportunities to fulfill cultural and artistic expression and development. FFQA will continually practice proactive outreach to multiple diverse communities to support involvement and engagement in FFQA opportunities, programs, resources, and partnerships and provide accessibility and inclusivity in all aspects of leadership, partnerships, and programs. FFQA will advocate for equitable resources to support and serve multiple diverse populations specifically. Equity and Access. FFQA is committed to creating systemic change that will remove barriers, thus improving access, empowerment and representation in the development and distribution of artistic resources to LGBTQ artists and their community.

FFQA will provide transparent and inclusive processes in the selection and allocation of all arts funding, resources and the development of policies and practices. 

FFQA believes that the LGBTQ Community deserves and is entitled to see themselves through the Arts within their communities, and that Public Art within these communities are represented by LGBTQ artists from those communities.
